stay on and protect - our first and most important feature. we do this by designing the industry's first two-part closure on baby mittens - elastic on one side and adjustable velcro on the other. this ensures a perfect fit as baby grows.
engages baby's senses - we incorporate black and white graphics (as a reversible print feature) on our mitts. newborns are only capable of focusing 8 to 10 inches from their face. research shows that high contrast graphics help promote baby's brain and visual development. high contrast patterns are the easiest for babies to see so our mitts give parents an accessible development opportunity.
gentle to the earth - our mitts are made of a bamboo/organic cotton blend. we chose bamboo for its protective breathability, antimicrobial properties and environmental sustainability.
protective breathability - certified tests demonstrate that bamboo blocks 99.97% of both UV-A and UV-B rays and has a UPF 50+ rating. bamboo also sustains temperatures well - keeping cool when it's warm, and warm when it's cool.
antimicrobial properties - bamboo has a natural property called kun that kills up to 70% of any bacteria attempting to incubate on the fabric. additionally, its natural antifungal properties and ability to wick water 3-4x better than cotton fabric help prevent skin rash.
